She is also a holder of Cambridge CELTA, a General Management Diploma from Bled School of Management, and a Diploma in Management from the Open University Business School. After more than 15 years in the banking and pensions field, 4 years in an entrepreneurial business and giving birth to two kids, she decided to focus on teaching English to the young learners, which she finds fascinating.

Thom qualified as an English teacher in 2007 and since then he has spent time teaching in Italy, Spain and Poland. He has been with the British Council in Bucharest since 2017. As well as his regular teaching work he also spent  20 years working in summer schools on both the activity and teaching courses both on the ground level as well as in management.

Teacher Timea Maier

Being CELTA qualified has allowed Timea to travel and experience teaching English abroad. Her main focus in the past few years been on teaching general English and exam preparation classes to adults and teenagers alike. What she loves most about teaching is the sense of community and collaboration that is created in the classroom, and seeing learners succeed one step at a time. In her free time she takes long walks, explores the city with her friends, and does indoor climbing.
