Our Academic Team

Teacher Diana Cretu

Diana has a BA in English and French Language and Literature, and holds the CELTA and TKT teaching qualifications. Diana has taught students of all ages and levels, mainly specializing in exam preparation for Cambridge exams. She speaks many languages, including Romanian, Russian, French, Spanish, and Ukrainian. Diana loves reading, travelling, painting, and playing video games (when she has the time).

Teacher Diana Rada

Diana has an MA in TESOL with Translation Studies from the University of Hull, UK. She attained her Qualified Teacher Status after doing teaching practice in Romania and in England. She taught English in China, England and Italy in international schools and universities to students of all ages. In her free time she travels, reads and learns new languages. She is enthusiastic and dedicated and being part of her students' progress makes her job rewarding.

Teacher Edward Thomas James Brown

Edward has been working as an English teacher since 2016. Over the course of his career, he has worked in several countries such has Spain, Italy and Poland. As a teacher, he takes pride in guiding and supporting his students through the language to reach their goals. He has a degree in History and Sociology and a CELTA qualification. He enjoys exploring new cultures especially through music, food and street art and he is an avid (if not terribly successful) amateur photographer.s

Felicia Dobre

"For me each lesson is a life experience, and I love the rich variety of human interaction and creative opportunities they offer." Felicia holds a CELTA, TYLEC, SEN, DELTA M2 certificate and has worked in Romania, the UK and South-East Asia. She particularly enjoys integrating her passion for both poetry and drama into her teaching.

George Cristian Bursuc

George has an MA in teaching English, as well as 2 important Cambridge qualifications-  CELTA and DELTA. He’s particularly interested in teaching teens and adults, but is also involved the training of novice teachers. His classes are centred around creating a relaxing learning atmosphere achieved through establishing strong social bonds with the students. When not at school, George likes to be outdoors cycling, hiking, walking, camping, and focusing on having a heathy lifestyle.

Iacinta Varga

English has been a part of Iacinta's life since she was a child. She graduated language and literature English French, with a master’s in American Studies. She obtained her CELTA certificate and has been working as an English teacher ever since. She loves British Council because she is surrounded by wonderful teachers, dedicated mentors and caring staff. She loves the opportunity to teach what she loves most and she feels blessed to be here!

Teacher Irina Neicu

Irina has been teaching English for more than 15 years, mostly in Russia, Romania, Georgia, Spain and Hong Kong. She started her career in TEFL and then moved on to teaching adults and teacher training. She is regularly involved in teacher training courses and she is passionate about professional development. Her special research interest are educational psychology and teacher development in both YL and adult learning.  In her free time she enjoys travelling and learning new languages. 

Teacher Iulia Hascu

Iulia has been working at the British Council for 4 years. She has a C2 level diploma and CELTA. Over the years she taught children between 3 and 14 years old and adults aged 18 to 67. She is a very organized, empathetic, creative person and she manage to create a pleasant and peaceful environment in the classroom, where children manage to open up, communicate and learn English. In her free time she enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, and exercising.

Teacher Iuliana Galusca

Iuliana has over 15 years of experience that took her to many countries in Europe and Asia in both public and international schools. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and Japanese language and a Master’s degree in International Relations. She also studied through Cambridge University for her ITC. During her last years in Asia, she worked at an international school in Bangkok as a K1 / K2 teacher, where she was introduced to elements of Reggio approach. 

Teacher Jasmine Cota

Jasmine holds a CELTA, the Trinity Teaching Young Learners Certificate, and also an Education and Pedagogical degree. She has taught English in England, Italy, and Spain, which has given her the opportunity to work with students coming from different cultures and backgrounds. Jasmine enjoys teaching young learners, especially preschool students, and loves teaching them English through discovery and games. Besides English, she enjoys traveling, reading, engaging in sports, and outdoor activities.
