How do I register candidates with the British Council and join Advantage?
It’s easy to register candidates for Cambridge English exams with the British Council and join Advantage. We will guide you with your students’ registration and take care of the exam administration.
If your school/ institution registers candidates for Cambridge English exams with the British Council Romania, you will be automatically enrolled in the Advantage programme. The minimum requirement is to register at least two candidates a year for one given exam session. We will also send you regular communications about our exam services and exclusive benefits for Advantage members.

Who does Advantage support?
Advantage is available for schools, language centres and other educational organisations and institutions who register candidates to take Cambridge English Qualifications at a British Council authorised exam centre. Advantage members can access expert operational and educational support to help your students take these internationally recognised English language exams developed by Cambridge English.
Advantage helps thousands of members in over 50 countries to connect and collaborate with each other. Teachers and leaders can access development opportunities throughout their professional life, and learners can participate in rich and diverse international cultural exchanges. Advantage also supports parents and carers who want to help their children with learning English and preparing for the exams.

How does Advantage membership work?
The more candidates you register the greater the benefits. We offer four membership levels:
- Advantage Starter: 2 - 19 candidates
- Advantage Standard: 20 - 49 candidates
- Advantage Premium: 50 - 149 candidates
- Advantage Premium Plus: +150 candidates
Your membership level will depend on the total number of registrations made with us in the previous academic year from September to August. We will evaluate and renew your membership level each year.
New schools and institutions that apply to join Advantage will be offered a membership level according to the number of registrations they first make. We also invite those who are starting to offer Cambridge English exams to join with Advantage Starter level membership.
