Re-Reading, Re-Writing, Re-Contextualizing Shakespeare is an international conference organised by the British Council and Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi to mark 400 years since Shakespeare’s death and to celebrate his work. The first two days of the conference are open to the public (on 27 and 28 October) and are being organised at Universitatea Alexandru Ioan Cuza (Aula Magna and Sala Senat). These two days will feature plenaries by David Crystal, Siobhan Keenan, Michael Hattaway and Monica Matei-Chesnoiu, as well as paper sessions by Romanian and international speakers.
