Art Publishing House and British Council Romania have to pleasure to invite you to a captivating meeting with Pierce Brown, the author of the best-selling trilogy Red Rising. The event takes place on Monday, 23 April, at 15:00, at the @British library.
The event will be held in English and will be moderated by Andreea Chebac (journalist at bookblog.ro and organizer of the Sci-Fi book fair Final Frontier).
Participants will have the opportunity to find out more about the Red Rising universe, ask the author questions and get autographs at the end.

2014
Brown publishes his debut novel, Red Rising, written in 2010 and rejected by publishers several times. The author eventually signs a book deal with Random House. His book gets immediate international recognition and, in matter of a few years, gets translated into more than 25 languages.
Red Rising enters the New York Times best-sellers list, wins the Goodreads Debut Award and the El Templo de las Mil Puertas for Mejor novela extranjera perteneciente a saga award.
Film rights are acquired by Universal Pictures as a result of an auction whose bids added at more than $1.000.000.
2015
The second installment of the trilogy is launched: Golden Son reaches the 6th place on the New York Times best-sellers list and wins the Goodreads Award for Sci-Fi Literature.
The author starts working on the first drafts of the script for the film, which is to be directed by Marc Foster.
2016
Brown launches Morning Star, which reaches the 1st place on the New York Times best-sellers list and also the USA Today best-sellers list; the book is also awarded the Goodreads Award for Sci-Fi Literature.
Golden Son is nominated for the Prometheus Award.
The first two installments of the trilogy are launched in Romanian. The translation is signed by Iulia Pomagă, and the books are published by the Paladin imprint of Art publishing house.
2017
Together with Rik Hoskin, Pierce Brown signs the script for the graphic novel Red Rising: Sons of Ares, a prequel of the Red Rising trilogy, published by Dynamite Entertainment.
Morning Star is nominated for the ITW Thriller Award, for the Best Young Adult Novel.
The last installment of the trilogy is launched in Romania. The novel is translated by Iulia Pomagă and launched by Paladin publishing house at the Gaudeamus Bookfair, being the most popular Sci-Fi book of the imprint.
Brown is one of the most prestigious guests at panels, book launches, and fan-meetings at the famous Comic Con in the USA (in both San Diego and New York).
2018
Iron Gold is published – the first installment of a trilogy which carries on the events from his previous novels. The volume is currently being translated by Laura Ciobanu for Paladin publishing house and is to be launched later this year.
Pierce Brown visits Romania between 23-26 April 2018, as part of his European tour which promotes the latest novel in the Red Rising trilogy.
