We invite you to one week of film screenings during the 6th edition of the >multicolor outdoor Film and Music Festival organised by the Iaşi Erasmus Initiative and Iaşi AsdMARK associations.
This year, >multicolor has set itself on the promotion of seven cultures, including the British culture, with the support of the British Council Iasi, by inviting the public to enjoy British films and music.
Join us on Wednesday 28 May, at 2100 for the film screening of the British documentary The Battle for Barking (2011, director Laura Fairrie) at Copou Park. The film follows the development of a historical moment in British politics from the perspective of the microcosm of an electoral district from the borough of East London. Shot throughout a year, the documentary revolves around two very different political opponents in the 2010 general elections, evincing an honest and touching portrait of the white working class, forced to cope with the changes brought on by the incoming immigrant communities.
During the same day, the organisers will also be playing the latest UK hits brought to you by The Selector, the British Council's international radio programme. And that's not all - each night of the festival will feature prize-draws!
All activities included in the >multicolor festival will be free of charge and will take place outdoors.
