Books are meant to be read but what would it be like to actually talk to a real character? This is the premise that started the Living Library, a concept that involves “borrowing” a person instead of a book.

Most of the times we look at fictional characters with admiration, forgetting that there are people among us whose lives go far beyond the imagination of any author.

This is precisely why the @British Library in Bucharest is planning a meeting of this sort on Monday, October the 19th, from 1830.

Some of the most beloved book characters are the ones that travel the world but artist Cristina Loredana Koszti has managed to actually do this in real life. If you’ve always wanted to talk to the great explorers, come meet Cristina and find out more about her own experience in the most exotic places in the world.

The event, which will be held in English, is addressed to children aged between 9 and 15.

Admission is free for everyone but the number of seats is limited. Therefore, a first come, first served policy will be implemented for the seating arrangements. To confirm participation, please email us at contact@britishcouncil.ro.
