Discover the mysteries of Cosmos with us and our special guest, Prof. Mark McCaughrean, on Wednesday, 27 September, at 19:00, at Cărturești Verona Library during the Bucharest Science Festival.

Mark McCaughrean is Senior Science Advisor at the Directorate of Science and Robotic Exploration at the European Space Agency (ESA) and Professor of Astrophysics at the University of Exeter and he’ll answer all your questions about space frontiers and astronomy missions.

After obtaining a PhD degree at the University of Edinburgh, Mark has worked at NASA Goddard Space Flight Centre and at many other astronomical institutes in Tucson, Heidelberg, Bonn and Potsdam and has taught astrophysics at the University in Exeter. He joined ESA in 2009 and is responsible as well for communicating the results from space missions, heliophysics and fundamental physics.

About Bucharest Science Festival

Bucharest Science Festival is the most important event dedicated to promoting science in Romania. The 5th edition of the festival will take place between 27 September - 1 October 2017 and will include many events (exhibitions, conferences, interactive workshops, film screenings, etc.) for kids, schools and everybody with a passion for science.
